In February 2015, Les Menuires will be celebrating its 50th anniversary and the resort are celebrating by offering you a whole host of new activities for the kids to enjoy, a new blue piste, ski tips, surprises on Saturdays, an aqua centre and much more besides.

Situated at 1850 metres above sea level Les Menuires is one of the best 'snow sure' ski resorts along with neighbouring Val Thorens. Over the years the style and range of accommodation has grown and developed and now you'll find luxury, spacious accommodation often with spas, wellness centres or swimming pools to enjoy.

This year they're also adding a new blue piste "Le Bouquetin" which starts at the top of La pointe de la Masse, and allows beginners to enjoy the 360 degree views over the Tarentaise, the Vanoise and Mont Blanc before descending 1000m. Take a look at the piste maps for more information.

In addition they'll also be opening the new 'Aqualudique' centre, a 3500m2 space for well-being and fitness, with sunken benches in the pool, a space dedicated specifically to children, a river, water jets, jacuzzi, sauna, hammam, pampering treatments and massages. This will be opening on the 6th December and entry will cost 12 euros for adults and 8 euros for children. Read more here.

On 12th February, the day of the actual anniversary, expect to see a huge fireworks display, torch-lit descents, and a whole host of other surprises yet to be announced for guests in resort at that time..
