About Val Thorens Maps

Hopefully this handy little collection of street maps, activity area maps, and ski & piste maps for Val Thorens will help you find your way around and make the most of this great region!

The approach to Val Thorens is up the Belleville valley from Moûtiers, at 800m. The road winds up the mountain via the steep-sided valley passing through several villages on the way and reaching Saint Martin at 1450m after 18km. The first lift of the Three Valleys ski network departs from here. Les Menuires lies at 1800m, a further 8km and Val Thorens is situated at 2300m and 38km from Moûtiers.

The three resorts that make up the Belleville Valley each have their own ski areas, town centres and transport systems.  As you drive into the valley along the mountain road that rises up from Moûtiers you will come first to the charming village of Saint Martin de Belleville at 1450m, then to the more modern resort of Les Menuires at 1800m and finally to Europe's highest ski resort of Val Thorens at 2300m.  Each resort has its own atmosphere and while you are in the Valley it is worth visiting each one, whether on skis or on the bus, to get a feel for how it has developed.
